About Us

Main Street Barbecue is Durant’s only local, family-owned and operated restaurant with deep roots in Bryan County. We are committed to sourcing the highest quality grass-fed beef, southern fried fish, and the freshest produce we can get our hands on. Our Farm-to-Table barbecue is cooked low and slow over locally harvested pecan wood fires and combines tried and true smoking techniques as well as new ideas born from our trendy team. We are open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

  • I really enjoy the food here. My favorite is the chopped brisket sandwich, or smoked chicken with brisket dinner. Their spicy fried green beans are my fave side. Mmm, I'm going again tonight!

  • Arriving in town late in the day we went with the first Google review that looked good. That led us to Main Street BBQ. We were not disappointed. We were greeted when we walked in the door and took our seats. The feel inside was as pleasant as the smell that smacked you in the face when you walked through the door. The food was outstanding and the service was great. The local folks seated around us we pleasant as well and offered us suggestions.

  • The food was okay. Meat didn't have that good smoked taste you would expect. Mac and cheese was great. Service was very slow, but it was busy. Our server was extremely friendly and charming. The restaurant building was rustic and pleasant, fun atmosphere. Overall it did the job but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.

  • I had the Beast Wich (sliced brisket, ham, sausage, fried green beans on toast). It was so good. The BBQ sauces were good. I mixed the sweet & mild to get the taste I wanted. Fried green beans were spicy. I want to go back now.

  • The smoked meats are absolutely great! I think the St Louis Ribs are the best of all. I love their special hot sauce. Also, the person who waited our table was excellent too.

  • Good small town diner vibes, friendly service, good BBQ. Spicy BBQ sauce was on point. Brisket was a little dry but still cleared my plate. Definitely recommend if you like southern BBQ

  • Great place! We had a large party and they handled it with ease. Our server was great and didn't miss anything we asked for (even the extras were delivered). The pulled pork was moist and delicious without the BBQ sauce. They even do breakfast and have a drive thru!
