Awesome little laid back restaurant in downtown Durant. My baked potato was as big as a dinner plate, served on a dinner plate and took up the whole thing! Spicy fried green beans served with Ranch for dipping was very good. Actually everything we tried was good, but we have never had fried green beans before so they stood out for us. Got our food surprisingly quickly after ordering in spite of them being fairly busy. Very good, friendly service. We will be back!
Barbara & Buddy MaynardWe visited this place on a recommendation from the front desk clerk at the Best Western we're staying at up the street. We were beyond impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the taste of the food and the portion sizes. The ribs were fall of the bone tender, the catfish was delicious. My husband got a baked potato and corn on the cob as his sides. We expected a small potato and a small chunk of corn. Nope... large baked potato the size of the plate and a full ear of corn. Macaroni and cheese is clearly homemade and delicious and while the fried pickle spears are a little floppy, they have the perfect amount of crunch and tart. Perhaps the only disappointment if you want to call it that is that the sweet tea isn't as sweet as we're used to. Would definitely recommend and if we were going to be in town longer, we would be planning to eat here again.
Beth LunkenheimerMy hubby had the sliders. He tried the sausage, sliced brisket & chopped brisket. The sliced brisket was my favorite. It was so tender & juicy, the smoked flavor was abundant. I had the meatloaf, the portion was generous to say the least. It was moist, tender & smokey. The homemade mashed potatoes were a plus but the fried okra stole the show, that was made with love. We will definitely return.
Road tripping and stopped here for lunch. Wow! Do yourself a favor and eat here. I had the rib plate (smallest is 6 ribs), green beans, and apple cider cole slaw. I have plenty leftover for another meal. Everything was delicious, and I am no stranger to good bbq. The mild sauce was really good, not super sweet. Waitress was a sweetie too. Will return again if in the area.
Great website, okay restaurant. The food is good but is lacking in good stand out flavor. The menu said they have a frosted cold mug and a lime upon request for drafts but they were out of the draft I asked for and out of limes. The service was good but you could tell she was doing the best with what management provided her with. All in all this experience is mediocre compared to Bbq in places like Florida and Texas. It’s all love though!
This was the best food I’ve eaten in Durant. It’s amazing. Atmosphere is fun, decor is simple & a bit rustic, staff is friendly. I went in with a group of people and we where attended to quickly. Staff had every order perfect. The food portions are HUGE so if your a light eater I suggest the kids portion. You will not be disappointed. The smoked turkey was delicious. The brisket amazing and the vegetables were yummy!! Location is easy to find. Parking may be tricky when they are busy but it’s be worth the wait
