About Us

Main Street Barbecue is Durant’s only local, family-owned and operated restaurant with deep roots in Bryan County. We are committed to sourcing the highest quality grass-fed beef, southern fried fish, and the freshest produce we can get our hands on. Our Farm-to-Table barbecue is cooked low and slow over locally harvested pecan wood fires and combines tried and true smoking techniques as well as new ideas born from our trendy team. We are open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

  • Main Street Barbecue catered my wedding, and I could not be happier. The service was friendly and the food was fantastic. Everyone left happy and full! Thank you so much Main Street Barbecue!!!

  • The brisket and ribs were good. The service was good. The rest was poor. The sweet potatoes fries were cold and raw. The po boy bun was straight out of package, cold n dry. The roll was cold n hard. Deffinetly NOT what I expected from the good reviews.

  • Food was delicious, and the tea wasn't bitter - I didn't even need to add sugar to the unsweetened tea I ordered. But many of the tables had resident flies. It's coming into summer so that might not be a concern if you visit during cold weather.

  • They've always had good BBQ but discovered they serve breakfast several months ago. One item on the breakfast menu blew me away, now it's the only thing I'll order. The protein bowl is amazing.

  • Blane was our server. He was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I had the 6-rib plate, grilled veggies and corn fritters. Everything was delicious but a little salty to my taste. My husband got the same rib plate with side salad and pinto beans. We did not get to try a dessert but will definitely go back.

  • I've had Main Street BBQ before but always as takeout. Yesterday my boyfriend and I drove from Denison to Durant to pick up some metal then decided dining in at Main Street BBQ sounded like a good plan.. We were not disappointed ? The atmosphere is great, the staff is fun and the food is always on point... I'd drive from Texas any day to enjoy their greatness?

  • Had the Rib platter. It came with two sides so I got potatoe salad and BBQ beans. I got one mild sauce and one spicy as I wasnt sure which one was better. So the beans were pretty good, but they seemed to follow the theme of sweetness that goes most of the food served here. The potato salad was again good but kind of sweet. The ribs were the best part (as they should be) they were tender and cooked just right. The taste was very good. Some of the best ribs I've had in awhile. My meal came with six ribs and two sides for 12.99, which I thought was a great barging. Especially after tasting the ribs. So if your in Durant America and have a hankering for some BBQ definitely hit this place up.

  • We visited this place on a recommendation from the front desk clerk at the Best Western we're staying at up the street. We were beyond impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the taste of the food and the portion sizes. The ribs were fall of the bone tender, the catfish was delicious. My husband got a baked potato and corn on the cob as his sides. We expected a small potato and a small chunk of corn. Nope... large baked potato the size of the plate and a full ear of corn. Macaroni and cheese is clearly homemade and delicious and while the fried pickle spears are a little floppy, they have the perfect amount of crunch and tart. Perhaps the only disappointment if you want to call it that is that the sweet tea isn't as sweet as we're used to. Would definitely recommend and if we were going to be in town longer, we would be planning to eat here again.

  • Always crowded their pick up window had a long line. Not enough parking and the flavor it's good. Clean restrooms and visible location. Highly recommended. Their prices are lower than the average barbecue joint. Enjoy!
